Mike Morabito is an award-winning saxophonist and music educator based in the Greater Hamilton and Niagara Region, with over 8 years of teaching experience.

He began playing saxophone at age 14 and went on to study music at both Mohawk College and Humber College, earning an Advanced Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree in saxophone performance, both with honours. Mike has studied with renowned Canadian and American jazz musicians including Joel Frahm, Adrean Farrugia, Kirk MacDonald, and Kelly Jefferson. As a performer, he has played across Southern Ontario and has been featured at events such as the Toronto Undergraduate Jazz Festival, TD Oakville Jazz Festival, TD Brantford Jazz Festival, and TD Niagara Jazz Festival.

In lessons, Mike focuses on adapting to each student’s individual goals and learning style. He teaches saxophone (all types), as well as music theory and jazz improvisation, and works with students at all levels. His approach balances strong musical fundamentals with learning songs students enjoy, helping make lessons both engaging and rewarding.

A graduate of the Humber College Music Program in Toronto, Don has studied extensively with respected musicians including Peter Harris (jazz), Bruce French (classical), Robert Fripp (King Crimson), and Howard Roberts, founder of the Guitar Institute of Technology.

With over 40 years of teaching experience, Don is a patient, easygoing teacher who brings a sense of fun into his lessons while helping students build strong fundamentals and confidence. He enjoys sharing his musical experiences with students while supporting their progress in a way that feels engaging and rewarding.

Don’s specialties include rock, jazz, classical, country, and folk. He teaches guitar, bass, banjo, ukulele, and music theory, and currently offers online lessons.

Lee Wallace is an experienced piano teacher with over 15 years of teaching experience. He is an RCM-certified teacher with Elementary and Intermediate Specialist designations, and enjoys working with students of all levels — whether they are playing for personal enjoyment or preparing for performances and examinations.

Born in Toronto into a musical family, Lee began learning from his father, Steve Wallace, an acclaimed jazz bassist and alumnus of the Oscar Peterson Trio. He later continued his jazz studies at Humber College, while also training classically and completing both Performer’s and Teacher’s ARCT diplomas from the Royal Conservatory of Music.

Lee has also studied jazz piano in New York with renowned pianists Michael Weiss, Steve Ash, and Jeb Patton.

He maintains an active performance schedule, appearing in recitals, clubs, and festivals throughout North America and overseas. His recordings have been featured on Jazz FM 91.1, CBC Radio, and Jim Wilke’s After Hours in Seattle, syndicated on NPR. He continues to bring what Geoff Chapman of the Toronto Star described as his “intuitive smarts” to performances in Toronto.

Read Bio:
Justin has been performing and teaching professionally in the GTA and southern Ontario since 2014. As a teacher, he has successfully guided many students through high school and RCM exams, university auditions, and general performance preparation. He enjoys working with students of all levels and values a positive, open approach to learning. His teaching primarily focuses on musicality through technique, and he is equally comfortable teaching reading as he is jazz improvisation. Justin holds a Bachelor of Music from Humber Polytechnic and is currently completing a Master of Jazz Performance at the University of Toronto.
 
As a performer, he has played and recorded with a wide range of ensembles, from rock bands to symphony orchestras. His experience includes working with Tommy Youngsteen, Chelsea McBride’s Socialist Night School, Ten Meter Band, The Kindred Spirits Orchestra, and Mariachi Los Gallos. He also conducts the Toronto All-Star Big Band, a community ensemble that supports and develops young jazz musicians across the GTA.
